The direct effects after the safe implementation of the project are:
R1. Four hundred people become familiar to the wine tourism product of the two areas spreading its attractiveness (to be calculated by the participation of the public to the open wine festivals after the end of the project);
R2. The visits in the archaeological site of Pella including the “House of Dionysus” are expected to be increased by 15% (to be calculated by the official records of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Pella six months after the end of the project);
R3. Twenty five local enterprises are promoted & networking (to be calculated by the participants lists after the end of the project);
R4. Forty unemployed people trained on wine tourism aspects (to be calculated by the participants’ lists after the courses’ end). All these 4 immediate results create a more fertile ground for the development of wine tourism in the two areas that is calculated to result to the creation of ten -10- new jobs on tourism that will be able to valorize the project achievements; two new jobs will be created to the Ephorate of Antiquities of Pella after the increase of the visits in the archaeological site and four new jobs in each of the two municipalities in order to keep on the development of the wine-tourism product. Additionally, new jobs are expected to be created in the private sector by local enterprises or individuals but their number cannot be safely predicted in this phase. That’s why an extensive examination will take place 6 months after the projects end and any new job created by the stakeholders that participate in the project will be included additionally in the result indicator as an additional achievement of the project.
As a conclusion, the project aims to apply a new idea (wine “experience”) by developing new innovative products (digital visualization of “House of Dionysus” and interlink of cultural sites to wine tourism) and applying them to the two areas during the project’s lifetime for their economic development.
