The Ephorate of Antiquities of Pella is a Regional Service of the Greek Ministry of Culture. It is based in Edessa and its jurisdiction extends to the Regional Unit of Pella. Its main task is the protection, promotion and promotion of antiquities, which emerge from prehistoric times to 1830, as well as newer religious monuments from 1830 onwards.
The Ephorate of Antiquities of Pella has already implemented important works mainly on restorations in monuments and archaeological sites in the prefecture of Pella with EU funding, including a completed project for restorations in the archaeological site of ancient Pella (2007-2013). During the period 2014-2020, it is implementing the EU funding project for the restoration, coservation and enhancement of Buiding I and the monumental entrance of the palace of ancient Pella. Additionally, it has successfully implemented plenty of temporary exhibitions, training courses and digitalization actions such as the QR coding on exhibits of the museum.
