Progress of the works in the Rearrangement of the public space in the Clock Tower in Negotino (Del.3.2.1)

The project for the arrangement of  surrounding of the Clock tower in Negotino has been started on 10.05.2022 with the participation of the selected Contractor DGT Gradba Promet” Kavadarci and the supervision company Skipi dooel Bitola.

The project focuses on the redevelopment of the public space / park around the Clock Tower. The surrounding area of the Clock Tower will be rearranged properly in order to be connected with the activities of the wine festival, as some events will take place there connecting the historical place with the contemporary period.

The main entrance to the park is provided from st. “Dusan Pregarc”, from where the pedestrian path that leads to the Clock Tower starts. On both sides of the entrance there are parking spaces for both cars and bicycles, with a capacity of 8 vehicles and 16 bicycles. On the west side, to the left of the entrance, there is a children’s playground. The entire remaining area is provided as a green area, filled with grass, low and high greenery. Rest benches and trash cans are placed along the entire length of the pedestrian path on both sides. The path ends with the Clock Tower which is planned to be emphasized and properly lit, in order to be in the main focal plane. On the northeast side of the main path, there are two more paths that end in hexagonal shapes. A planter with a seating area is planned in the two hexagonal spaces in the middle. The wooden fence is placed as a barrier on the plateau around the clock tower, primarily as a visual barrier to the yards of the surrounding buildings. A hedge is provided along the entire length of the area in order to create a barrier between the public and the private (the housing part around).
